Looking For the Best Food the Beaches Have to Offer?
We did all the heavy lifting for you (and all the taste testing 😊)
Here's a list of our favorite restaurants, bars, and grills down at the beaches
Sammy's Kitchen - Rehoboth
This small town diner, right on the corner one block from the beach, is a hidden gem of Rehoboth. You can order anything from strawberry French Toast to a Lamb Gyro.
Our Favorites - Omelettes and Pancakes
Rise Up Coffee - Rehoboth
This local coffee chain is well known around the eastern shore of Maryland and in Delaware. Stop in for a quick cold brew while walking on Rehoboth Ave, 5 minutes from the sand and water.
Egg Rehoboth
You'll never guess what these guys specialize in! This laid back atmosphere happens to be less than a block from Rise Up. They've got a full breakfast menu and close at lunch time, so go early if you're looking to go!
Our Favorites - Peanut Butter French Toast & Eggs Benedict
Surf Bagel - Lewes and Rehoboth
We may have saved the best for last with this one. Surf Bagel is known all around the world for their home made bagels baked fresh every morning. While initially known for their bagels and breakfast sandwiches, Surf Bagel has grown a reputation for excellent wraps, subs, and sandwiches as well. You can't go wrong here.
Our Favorites - Bacon Egg and Cheese on an Everything Egg Bagel & the Islander Wrap
Agave Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar - Lewes/Rehoboth
Quite literally the best Mexican you'll ever have in your life. If you're a couple, the Fajitas for Two is an absolute must. Two grilled chicken breasts and one filet mignon sit atop a mountain of sizzling peppers, onions and tomatoes - with all the sides you could want.
Our favorite drinks - Frozen Strawberry Margarita and their house drink, a Jocelyn's Margarita.
Theo's Steaks, Sides, and Sprits - Rehoboth
There are MANY great places to get a steak at the Delaware beaches. We are lucky to have such a good variety.. you can't really go wrong with any of them. Theo's happens to be our personal favorite. From their truffle fries to Bone In Ribeye, to their "Thanksgiving Feast" and Homemade Apple Pie dessert - there's literally nothing that isn't excellent on the menu.
Our Favorites - NY Strip and Filet Mignon, both medium, with Theo's signature whipped potatoes
Fins Ale House & Raw Bar - Coastal Highway
Self Appointed "The Best Seafood on the East Coast," Fins carries a big reputation for delivering excellent seafood with the largest variety of fresh dishes available. Fins is part of the "Big Oyster" chain of restaurants, so you can expect excellent beers with your meal as well.
Our Favorites - Baked Oyster Sampler & Build Your Own Fish Board
Crooked Hammock Brewery - Lewes
There are also many breweries at the Delaware beaches. Some have national recognition (Dogfish Head, Big Oyster) while others are more regionally favored. Crooked Hammock is a kid friendly brewery and restaurant. I know, sounds strange.. until you walk into their "Backyard" that is loaded with a jungle jim, ping pong table, multiple hammocks, fire pits, and much more. This is a MUST see before you leave the beaches.
Our Favorites - Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich & Pineapple Express Wings
Big Chill Beach Club - Bethany Beach
You will not beat an evening at Big Chill. The Restaurant is located right between two bodies of water - the Atlantic Ocean at the front and the Bay at the back. Exceptional food and quite literally the best atmosphere at the beaches, Big Chill should be a go-to before your trip is up.
This is a tad further of a drive compared to everything else on this list, but it is definitely worth it.
Our Favorites - Crab Fries & Coconut Shrimp
Paradise Grill - Long Neck
If there's one spot that could compete with Big Chill, it's Paradise Grill. Located about the same drive distance from Rehoboth as Big Chill, Paradise Grill sits on the corner of Rehoboth Bay nested inside of a community called Pot Nets. Paradise holds multiple restaurants, more bars than you can count, a large stage for live music, an ice cream shop, fresh fish bar, and more. It's truly something that is unique to the Delaware Beaches.
Our Favorite - Orange Crushes (not the soda) and Pulled Pork Nachos
